My parents had saved a crib from 1995, but misplaced the hardware for it. I found Products America, but first tried getting the parts directly from the original manufacturer. Bassett discontinued support for this crib and actually recommended Products America.
I just got off the phone with Brandy. She was fantastic. I was having difficulty installing the crib hardware correctly. Brandy had me send her pictures of how I had installed the hardware and then sent me pictures and followed up by making a video showing exactly how the hardware would work when installed correctly. To make the video, Brandy had to lie on the ground and film the side of the crib being raised up and locked into place. The response time and thoroughness was excellent!!!! Thank-you Brandy, you are a great representative of your company.
I had a great experience working with Brandy. She was quick to send me everything I needed after our due date was moved forward unexpectedly. Crib assembly was a breeze and Brandy eden followed up to make sure everything went well. Definitely recommend, ask for Brandy!
Shipping was quick and prices were in line with what I expected, considering it's a niche need.
I've tried getting a hold of them 3 times today and one other time yesterday but I always get the answering machine. I tried emailing also but it seems maybe they only have 1 person working their custome service center? I was hoping they'd be able to help me as the manufacturer for my 8 year old crib has stopped making the replacement parts for the crib. I read in blogs that this company would help but unfortunately I haven't been able to get in contact with anyone. Due to time constraints, I am in a hurry to see if they can help me or just purchase a new crib at this point. It stinks I couldn't get help from them during a business day while trying numerous times by calling during their regular business hours. Now it's after hours and no help.
As someone who prefers to order things online, it was a pleasure to go through the measuring process over the phone. Even when one of the pieces turned out not to work so well for my particular crib, they were awesome in making it right.
Unless you can call them and are willing to hand over your card info to some random dude on the other end of a phone, don't go here. Try ebay.
Kinda wish their specialty was a little wider, because it was a pleasure purchasing through them.
Wish I could review more than just the ordering process, but after 16 days of getting no where with them, I was able to find the part somewhere else. It seems the only way to get anywhere with these people is to call. This is unfortunate when you work the same hours they operate in a job that severely punishes phone use.
I emailed 16 days before letting them know I needed part SH15. a week later I had to threaten them just to get an email response. They demanded I answer tons of questions just for them to tell me that I was right about the part I needed. (I can compare a freaking hook from a picture to the part in my hand, thank you very much). They asked if I wanted to buy it and if so they would send my paypal info. I gave them my info and 24 hours later they asked me AGAIN if I wanted to use paypal. Four days later and no paypal info sent to me. Couldn't pay, couldn't order, moved on.
